We are just coming out from Winter here, which is usually a time I tend to gain a bit of weight and loose fitness........ This time it's not as bad as last year when I discovered I had gone from a size 10 in my mid 30s to a size 14-16 in my early 50s!! I got onto it, but I don't do winter well!!! I'd be a basket case if it went any longer....... still, I have about 5-6kg I need to loose to make things easier on my knees and hips, and my fitness level is pretty low!! I wonder how many of us with all the extra stresses we carry today, could honestly say we have a healthy immune system, that our bodies have a reasonable to good level of fitness??

Loving the wheels! I think we need to find a balance between looking after the old bod and accepting that it will change as we age, have babies etc. I too have gained a few lbs over the last few months during the process of moving house half way round the world and I intend to deal with that, but I have no intention of trying to regain my 18 year old figure in my late 30s. 😊
Your yard looks lovely. I like the wagon wheels as a border. That would only work in the summer for us as they'd probably get plowed in during the winter. I like the look though and if we had some I might try that around some or our flower beds. Cute.
I do the same... gain in the winter and lose in the summer. It's not a lot, but enough so that my clothes are feeling a little snug before the winter is done. It is all according to what I'm involved in. I don't do any crafting or sewing in the summer, there just isn't enough time, but in the winter there's little I can accomplish outside. I do shovel snow and hike the driveway after a deep snow because we can't drive up, but that's about it. I love to be able to snuggle down with my cross stitch and listen to message tapes or watch old movies. My weight has not fluctuated much over the past 5 or 6 years but I could stand to lose a few. I have such a sweet tooth. I need to work on that though. This weekend I watched my 2 y.o. grandson this weekend... that will keep me young.
